Some reflections on the narrative inquiry

I can't help but to remind myself all the time of what the purpose of my dissertation is. The research questions have to be focused on the professional development of the innovative teachers reflected during the process of personal knowledge growth on the context of educational reform. Besides, I can really appreciate that doing research is not only for the production of pure knowledge but also for the production of reflection on the knowledge, and for helping people use their own language to retell their own world of living, so as to control the chance of changing themselves and the world.

One step, one footprint.

Since I was a child, I have been interested in watching the TV programs like "one step, one footprint", "Chiang Ching-Guo' Life" on TVBS. This kind of programs made me feel touched so as to think over how to live my own life. Being a outlooker in Taiwan (because I am the second or third generation (if my grandfather was included as well) of the mainlander escaped from the China Civil War in 1949. For the sake of the particular identity of myself and the school which I am now teaching in, something unique and the other self inside always tell me never to give up.
